Here is what the demos skip. An agent doing real work for a business needs memory that lasts longer than a chat, permissions, approvals before anything goes out the door, and a record of what happened. Enterprises have demanded this from their software for decades. Small businesses need the same thing, they just never get tools built for them.

That is what I am building. AgentQuilt is an open source platform that runs a team of AI agents with that structure built in, whether the company behind it has four people or four thousand. It is early. The code has not started, and every design decision is happening in the open. The current state lives on the projects page, next to a tool I already use every day from my phone.
