SAP BPC Embedded Consolidation is Here

SAP just released BPC SP09 for NetWeaver BW 7.4 and NetWeaver BW7.5 SP02. Both are enabling the highly anticipated feature for SAP BPC Embedded – Consolidation.  It is a huge step forward, and it will certainly help to increase the adoption rate. Don’t forget that SAP Embedded is the core of SAP Integrated Business Planning also known as SAP IBP for S4/HANA. I’m sure, there is still a lot to learn, but at this point I feel comfortable with almost every functional area of BPC including Logic Script. So while polishing my BPC skills in my work, I decided to start my journey with SAP Business Warehouse. From my observations, BW knowledge is a highly demanded skill for BPC consultants no matter you are coming from finance or IT. Well, for IT guys it is mandatory. Another consideration I have is related to BW Integrated Planning, …

EPM Road Maps – BPC, Cloud for Analytics and BW-IP

A view on EPM Roadmaps - BPC, Analytics and BW-IP

I am trying to regularly check the Product road maps provided by SAP related to the Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) space. They are giving me clues where SAP is putting their effort and what skills I may need to develop. In this post I will try to summarize where SAP is emphasize in the end of 2015. The solutions covered are Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC), BW Integrated Planning (BW-IP) and Cloud for Analytics. By the way Cloud for Planning is now part of the Cloud for Analytics suite. Some of you may ask why I am interested in BW-IP and …
